These photographs by Joseph Mulhearn show an empty Veteran’s stadium, probably prior to the 1976 National League Championship Series between the Phillies and Reds, a series the Phillies would lose. The dugouts are apparently still painted from the MLB All-Star Game, held in Philadelphia that year. This 76 team featured my dad’s all-time favorite player, Steve Carlton.

The first in a series of photographs by Joseph Mulhearn of the parade held in celebration of the Phildelphia Flyers first Stanley Cup Championship win in 1974. More than a million people lined Broad Street to cheer on the team.
